The revolution continues! ¡Bitácora!
A couple weeks ago, I blogged or ranted about the current education system being stuck in the industrial model it was created for. I also talked about ways to change that model. One of the things I am preparing for this summer class is that each student will be keeping a blog going during the course of the 5 week class. They will also be commenting on 5 other blogs per day…all of this in Spanish of course as the class is Spanish IV. I set them each up with page that is preloaded with a wordpress blog theme. They can change the theme and blog in any way that they choose, just so long as it is in Spanish. I have all the pages, and can easily check to see how they are doing, also, since the post come with a date stamp, they can’t just write a bunch of articles at the end of the semester as students often did with the old “keeping a journal” system. I will keep everyone updated on how it works out.
