Excellent thoughts! It's good to be reminded that the speed at which we run the race of life is not the most important thing. What is important is that we start and persevere, continually striving to get better as we go along.

Great comment Brian! One question, what independently repeatable and critiqued experiment proved to you that this is the only life we have and that it just goes blank when this one is done?

I am only confused as to why bronze age deities who are incredibly and unforgivingly brutal are still worshipped in this modern age. I am not confused about what I believe however. I believe in math, science and independently repeatable and critiqued experiments, nothing more.

I am curious, however, as to where your "most atheists" claim comes from. Virtually every single Christian I have ever known refuses to confront their fears and acknowledge that they may not, in fact, be right about the cosmos. I don't blame you, don't worry, there's a HUGE chance that the only reason you believe that your god is the one and only (and the rest of us be damned) is due to your parents' belief system and your own childhood indoctrination to a particular belief system. Then, in a moment of trouble or crisis in late childhood or early adulthood you were very afraid and turned to the only thing you could think of (not the only option, just the only one you considered), and "found god". It's a system entirely based on fear of the unknown be it death, disease, the world around us, what's under the bed, etc. Don't worry though, when you die everything just goes blank and that's it. So enjoy the life you have, it's the only one you'll ever get.

Thanks so much! Do you have any thoughts or feature requests for us? I'd love to hear any ideas you might have. We really want to serve The Church and Her people.

I have always had people in my life that have challenged my faith. Even my Christian friends have challenged and kinda luahged at some of my stances.

And to be honest, most people who call themselves "atheists" are not atheists. They are just very confused...they want to believe in something, but they are not sure what.

Great thoughts, Burl. This is the sort of thing I wrestle with as a Church Web Designer. I think that churches need to remember that our sites exist not for us and what we prefer, but for the Lost and, ultimately, for God's Glory.
